Challenge 30 - Through the Window...

We were really proud to see that you weren't scared to get torn into our last challenge and stick 2 fingers up to the nasty, evil creature in the basement ... who obviously thought you wouldn't dare to play along. WRONG!
Well done everyone!
It's now August and we've already passed the halfway mark with our 2010 challenges - UNBELIEVEABLE! We're all chuffed to bits that Bah! Humbug! has developed so many loyal followers who join us every week and willingly share their ideas with everyone. Incredibly, some of you are already very close to achieving the minimum number of 30 entries to be eligible for inclusion in our Christmas Prize Draw. Don't worry though as there's still plenty of time left to qualify for those who haven't been with us from the start or haven't managed to play every week.

As this is the first challenge of a new month, we have a prize on offer and you have to admit that this selection of Christmas Greeting Clear Art Stamps would be a welcome addition to anyone's stash, with a lovely choice of fonts to suit any style of project.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of owning this super stamp set is to join in with this week's challenge
Through The Window
Obviously you will need to feature some kind of window on your project but you decide whether to depict a scene, (eg. looking into or out of a window), simply cut or punch a hole to make an aperture/window or actually create a window on your project, one which opens and closes to show an image behind. Let your own imagination decide and, should you need a little inspiration, check out our project details by clicking our names below. You'll notice there are only 3 of us this month as unfortunately our intended Guest Designer had to withdraw, but hopefully one of us will have done enough to tickle your crafty tastebuds!

The deadline for this challenge is

12 noon (UK time)
Thursday 12th August 2010

You are free to create whatever you like ... it doesn't have to be a card ... in fact, show us as many different projects as you want to share.
Just remember ... have fun and don't forget to leave us a direct link to your project in our comment box so we can come and admire your creativity.

Challenge 29 - Paper Tearing...

You've certainly proven that you all know how to 'Make A Scene' ... (in the nicest possible way of course!) ... as we were treated to some fabulous creations for last week's challenge. There's never been any doubt from us that you are all very talented, but this week we are revealing our cruel streak because we want to see how brave you all are!
"WhahaHA!" **evil laugh from the basement**
GULP ... This week our theme is ...
Paper Tearing/ Ripping
If you find it difficult sometimes to even take scissors to your precious papers, then we know you may struggle to find the courage needed for this challenge.
"Whahahahahahahahaha...HA!"
**another evil laugh from the basement**
... BUT we'd love for you to be able to overcome your fears and show us how you can really let rip!

Sadly, this is the last spotlight appearance at Bah! Humbug!, of our July Guest Designer Debs, but she has created a fabulous snowman card for her finale, as you can see below.
Please join us in saying a HUGE "Thank You" to Debs for all the wonderful projects she has shared with us this month - it's been fantastic to have her on the team. As always please click on the links to visit our blogs for more details about these cards and maybe even leave a lovely comment to make our day.

Challenge 28 - Christmas Scene...

Just to let you all know
Max is back in Da Bah Humbug House!
Thanks and huge hugs to Ann and Irene for holding the fort while I escaped for a wee family break.
Thanks ladies xxx You're the BEST.
Reckon it's about time I started pulling my weight again though as I've been allowed to be very lazy since we came home and that just won't do.

Friday means a new challenge! ... WahHay! ... and this week we are asking for

A Christmas Scene
Do you own a lovely snowy forest image or a quaint village stamp you've been desperate to use and smother with glitter?
... or possibly you have some beautiful decoupage lying in a drawer just waiting to be assembled.
... could be you're feeling more adventurous this week and want to create a Christmas scene from scratch.
Whatever you fancy doing is fine by us ... just as long as you leave a link in our comment box so we can share!
Below are the DT examples which are fabulous once again.
Just click the names above the images to go directly to our individual blogs if you want to find out the details of how we made our projects before you scurry away to get busy with your own.

There is a tutorial for this acetate card here.

Challenge 27 - Christmas Stockings...

Ha ha Max has left me in charge! Is she mad or what? Well she was certainly due for a holiday. I just hope the shock of our new challenge is not too much for her when she gets back, because this week our theme is ...

Christmas Stockings

Yes, get out your felt pieces and embroidery thread and get stitching those masterpieces to hang at the end of the bed or mantleshelf. You can add sequins, beads and any form of elaborate embroidery and we would love to see names embroidered around the top too!
Ha ha ha - pick yourselves up off the floor and recover from the shock. I'm only kidding, although if you want to sit up all night and create a masterpiece feel free, but I think most of us will be quite happy to dig out or even treat ourselves to a new stamp (digi or rubber) to create something gorgeous, but not quite so time consuming, for this weeks theme.

The team here at Bah! Humbug! did some spending and invested in a couple of new stamps. Check out Irene's cute digi stamp and Ann's Stampavie cuties. Any excuse to buy something new!
I'm not sure if Debs our Guest Designer bought anything for this challenge, but oh my what a lush card. We sure hit gold when choosing our Guest Designers earlier in the year as they never fail to amaze us with their stunning entries.
As always please click on the links to visit our blogs for more details about these cards and maybe even leave a lovely comment to make our day.

The entries to our challenges so far this year have just been 'blow your socks off' type gorgeous so all of us here can't wait to see what you come up with for this week's challenge.  Please don't forget the deadline for the challenge is...

12 noon (UK time)
Thursday 22nd July 2010

Remember you are free to create whatever you like ... it doesn't have to be a card (or a handstitched Christmas Stocking)... in fact, show us as many different projects as you want to share.
Just remember ... have fun and don't forget to leave us a direct link to your project in our comment box so we can come and admire your work.

If you don't know how to leave a direct link then don't worry we will find you.  We prefer everyone to leave comments rather than have a Linky gadget on our challenge.  It's so much nicer to get to know people and become friends as the weeks go by.

Challenge 26 - A Special Card for a Friend...

We were totally blown away with all the fantastic entries to our 'Less Is More' Challenge and although some of you confessed you found it tricky to leave out the fussy decorations, your results proved that you could do it ... and do it well!

Congratulations!

On to our next challenge and this time we would like to see a card or project made for
A Special Friend
We all have one don't we? ... and some people are lucky enough to have more than one ... so let's celebrate those relationships and let these precious people know how treasured they really are. You may be worried that your friend may see what you have created for them, (especially if they happen to be a fellow crafty blogger), but don't despair because you can make something for someone else to give to their special friend. We really don't mind as long as you follow the theme.
The Bah! Humbug! DT, including our Special Guest Designer Debs, have been busy as always, and hopefully have inspired you to get creative for a 'bestest buddy'. Just click the linked names below to visit our personal blogs and see the details of our cards.

The deadline for this challenge is

12 noon (UK time)
Thursday 15th July 2010

You are free to create whatever you like ... it doesn't have to be a card ... and there are no restrictions on which products you use. We'd genuinely like you to show us as many different projects as you want to share and at least one of us will always visit to leave you a comment.
Just remember ... have fun and don't forget to leave us a direct link to your project in our comment box so we can come and admire your creativity.

Challenge 25 - Less is more...

As expected, you all really seemed to enjoy our Father Christmas/Santa Challenge last week and we thoroughly enjoyed viewing all your handiwork.
As we enter a new month, we feel really sad to have to wave "Goodbye" to our June Guest Designer Claire whose creations every week were absolutely stunning.  We loved having her as part of the team, bringing her fabulous inspiration to our challenges.
We are however, really excited to tell you that Debs from Pink Dandelion's Craft Space has joined us for July and I bet, like us,  you can't wait to see what treats she has in store for us over the next few weeks.

This week is also our Prize Draw week and we have plucked this super Crafter's Companion Christmas Stamp Set from the Santa sack as the reward for one lucky random entry this week.
To be in with a chance of winning this stamp collection, you need to show us your project based on our theme of
Less Is More
Does this mean that we're looking for clean and simple lines, with few, (if any), frills or flounces?   Hmmmm ... this might be a huge challenge for those of us who love our embellishments.
Or could we simply be referring to size and are we looking for teeny tiny cards and projects?
Actually ... we would be delighted to see either option ... or both ... or something else entirely!
The DT examples below show our interpretations of this week's theme and if you'd like to see the details of supplies and techniques we've used, just click the linked names to visit our personal blogs.

Now ... it's time to show us what you can do and how you interpret our theme.
The deadline for this challenge is

12 noon (UK time)
Thursday 8th July 2010
