Humbugger Holiday

You all know the Cliff Richard song ...
"We're all going on a Summer Holiday ..."

Have you got the tune in your head? Good.
Let me hear you sing ...
"We're all going on a Febby Holiday ..."
Let me explain ... if I can stop squealing for long enough. *Squeal*

Ann, Irene and myself have been pals now for many years having 'met' online through an MSN cardmaking group and there was an instant bond of friendship between us.

Since then there have been a gazillion phone calls between us and we have probably spent far more hours than we should admit to, gas-bagging about family, work and, of course, crafting.

I have met up with Irene several times, when visiting Sunderland with my daughter for ten pin bowling tournaments ... and Irene has met Ann more times than I can remember ... AND they've even had sleepovers!

Sadly, we've never managed to coordinate our individual schedules well enough to organise a 'threesome' - although in fairness, living a few hundred miles away from them has been a major factor.

UNTIL NOW!

With a little 'jiggery-pokery' behind the scenes, we are finally, finally going to get together - all of us - in one place - at the same time! EEEK! Can you imagine?
*Squeal*

I can guarantee it will be an absolute hoot, with laughter on the agenda every day!! How on earth will we cope?! My butterflies have butterflies!
*Squeal* *Squeal*
My hubby has expressed concern about whether my snoring will be an issue BUT as I only snore when I'm asleep ... and I'm far too excited for that ... problem solved!

Now, as we will be away having fun together from 19th - 26th February, that obviously means that Bah! Humbug! will be unmanned for a week.
Shock! Horror!! Unthinkable!!!

We have made the decision to have a Challenge- Free week and let you all enjoy a wee breather too. Aren't we just the kindest Challenge Hostesses you know? My advice is that you take this opportunity to charge your batteries ready for our return, as I promise it will be full steam ahead for the rest of the year.

Soooo ... I hope you will all forgive us being selfish and allow us this little indulgence ... just this once. We'll probably be back before you even miss us.

As I started with a song, I thought I'd finish with one too ...

"I'm so excited!
An' I just can't hide it!
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!"
*Squeal*

Challenge 6 - Snowmen...

Well what a totally amazing week we had on the theme of Holly - so many cards and projects and all with the wow factor. All three of us here at Bah! Humbug! gained so many amazing ideas while visiting everyone's blogs.
Thank you all so much. Now before we move on to the new challenge we need to announce the winner of our start of the month prize draw.

Our February prize winner is.....

Doreen of Doreen's Dream

Yeah, congratulations Doreen. Please could you email Irene within the next 4 days and she will organise sending the prize out to you.

Now on to this week's challenge, which is...

SNOWMEN!(or ladies!)

Snowmen are always great fun on Christmas cards and projects. They come in all shapes and sizes and everyone of them is as loveable as the last. Who can resist their total cuteness? Not us that's for sure! I hope you feel the same way and will dig out your favourite snowmen to create a card or other Christmas project to share with us this week.

We can't wait to see all the different snowpeople on your blogs.

Remember the most important thing is to have fun. When your work is complete do leave us a direct link in the comment box below so we can come and have a look at your fabulous creations.

If you'd like to see how we created our cards this week - just click the links above the images to take you there.

**Challenge 6 Closes at Noon (UK time)

Top Tip Tuesday...Avoid 'Inner Turmoil'...

We're all doing a great job and next Christmas is looking like it's gonna be an absolute breeze, but last year, besides being really late making some important cards, I also hit panic stations when it came to adding the inners.

Don't know about you, but often when I'm doing cards for challenges etc., I leave the inner for a later date - not good really, because if you suddenly have 50+ inners to do it's not only hard work, but incredible boring too!

So this week's Top Tips are ...

'Card inners are best done at the same time as the card or very soon after'

and

'Digi images are fabulous for resizing and using on the inside of cards'

Here's the inner I've just done for the very first challenge we had at Bah! Humbug!

I just love the way you can resize digi images and use a smaller version on the inside of cards.

Here's another inner using a digi image made smaller for the inside of the card. I also printed this digi out ready coloured as I was feeling lazy and also I didn't want to use Promarkers on the paper of the inner as it would have bled on to the other side. This inner matches the shopping card I did for our 'glitter' challenge...

Hopefully you've enjoyed the latest Top Tip Tuesday and
if you have any tips for producing fabulous inners for cards please share them by leaving a comment for us below. We'd love to hear them.

Also, don't forget our challenge this week is 'HOLLY '. There have been some totally gorgeous cards on everyone's blogs. If you haven't joined in yet please do and put a link to your work in the comments section HERE. There is still plenty of time and also a great prize up for grabs for one lucky person.
