Challenge 11 - Peel offs...

Hello Bah! Humbuggers!
I think we're all agreed that these challenges seem to be coming around faster every week but isn't it satisfying to see your Christmas card box steadily fill up?
This week our challenge is to use PEEL OFFS in your card or project.
The thing about peel offs and crafters is that we tend to fall into one of 3 categories. Which category do you fit into?
Do you ...

a. love them?
b. hate them?
c. feel indifferent about them?

Regardless how you feel, I can virtually guarantee you all have some in your stash and we want you to share your ideas.
So ... no groaning ... let's see how creative you can be with your peel offs.
Do you tend to play safe and only use borders or greetings?
Do you use marker pens on them to match your colour schemes?
Do you apply them to acetate?
Do you like using them as masks with ink and chalk?
Or are you really creative and like to build 3D designs or create scenes?
Show us!
Click the link below to see a video demonstration of various ways to use peel off stickers.

As always ... have fun and don't forget to leave us a direct link to your project in our comment box so we can come and admire your creativity.

Challenge 10 - Vintage...

Hello Everyone
It's Irene here,

Thank you all so much for your fabulous creations in last week's challenge. We were blown away by your creativity and so enjoyed browsing your blogs looking at your makes.

This week's challenge is to make a Christmas card or Project with the theme of

VINTAGE

Please don't despair by the theme, as one DT member did, (not mentioning any names!), but despite her reservations, she has produced a beautiful Vintage card as you can see.
Vintage does not have to include lace, pearls etc., it's all down to how you interpret Vintage ... the choice is yours.

Thank you all for sharing your amazing ideas with us and also for sticking to the master plan to make at least one Christmas card each week. We are all doing just great. Give yourselves a pat on the back and sneak another smug smile in too.

Challenge 8 - Stitching/Faux Stitching

Hi everyone - Max here.
Can you believe we're into the month of March already?
No ... neither can we.
As this is the first challenge of a brand new month, there is a prize to be awarded to one lucky random entry and this time it is a cute set of Hero Arts Clear Christmas Stamps.
I know that Spring is just hovering around the corner but we 'Humbuggers' know it'll soon be Christmas, so no time to rest on your laurels.
Just remember that come December, when everyone else is doing a good impersonation of a headless chicken, you'll be curled up in front of the fire knowing that all those wonderful cards you have been busy making over the year have been written and are waiting to be posted. Yes - you are allowed to feel smug!
Now to continue the good work on our 2010 card collections, the challenge we've set for this week is
STITCHING/ FAUX STITCHING
This can be the real deal, with a real live needle and thread ... (too scary for me!) ... or you can pretend with the use of printed papers, a fineliner pen, stamps, peel offs or whatever you'd like to use.
The deadline for entries is
12 noon (UK time)
Thursday 11th March 2010
If you'd like to know how we made our examples, simply click on the names below and all will be revealed.

As always ... have fun and leave us a direct link so we can come and admire your creativity.
Good luck to you all in the draw.
Love Max, Irene and Ann

Top Tip Tuesday...Bargain Alert....

We've just spotted this on a shopping site this morning and thought it might be well worth passing on to our British followers.

Superdrug are offering a 5% discount on their sales of First Class postage stamps.
Maybe not a huge saving, but if you consider that Royal Mail are increasing the prices on stamps from April 6th then the saving becomes far more worthwhile.  The stamps don't have a price on them so can be used at any time.

We are all going to have so many cards ready to post this year (smug smiles allowed by everyone at this point) that maybe, if we can afford to spend ahead of time, we should get a supply of stamps at the ready too.

We also need to say a huge thanks to everyone for the amazing 'Tree' cards that have been entered so far this week.  It never fails to amaze us how different everyone's style is and just what wonderful ideas we see as we hop around blog land.  Thank you all so much for sharing your work.  If you haven't entered a card yet please leave a comment with a link to your card HERE.
