Challenge 46... Feeling The Blues...

Oh My Giddy Aunt!
You can't begin to imagine how emotional we're feeling at Humbugger Hall this week as we prepare to announce our final challenge of 2010.  We feel extremely privileged to have experienced such fantastic support and encouragement from so many wonderful people across the globe throughout our debut year.   In fact, you have all been so amazing that "Thank you" doesn't seem enough to convey our appreciation somehow.
You have proven to be a real bunch of
Bah! Humbug! Christmas Crackers!
Maybeeeeeeee ... if we said it a gazillion times ... accompanied by humungous Humbugger Hugs ... and a multitude of lip-smacking "Mwah's" ... then you would be a little closer to imagining how chuffed we are.   Hopefully, you will all join us again in January as we have planned a whole host of new challenges for 2011 and would love to share them with you.
In the meantime though, we need to get this week's challenge under way and although it is another colour theme, we felt it was an appropriate one to end with as it kind've reflects how much we're going to miss you.
Yes ... we're understandably
Feeling The Blues
BUT ... we're only having a brief hibernation and we all know how quickly time flies, so we're managing to keep our mouths turned UP at the corners ... so far that is!
Once again, we will allow you to use other colours too but our challenge is to use shades of blue as your project focus.
Our final gallery of DT gorgeousness is below and we're joined for the last time by Pat from Pip's Pastimes blog.  She has used a nice cheery image to help everyone keep those spirits up ... which also helps with the mouth corners too LOL!
We'd like to thank you Pat for being such a wonderful Guest Designer this month and hope she will consider volunteering again next year ... *hint, hint* ... it has been an absolute pleasure having you on our team.  Full details of all our projects can be found by clicking our names below and visiting our personal blogs.

The deadline for this challenge is

12 noon (UK time)
Thursday 2nd December 2010

You are free to create whatever you like ... it doesn't have to be a card ... in fact, show us as many different Christmas projects as you want to share.
Just remember ... have fun and leave us a direct link to your project in our comment box so we can come and admire your creativity.

SO!  That's that then!  Finished!  Nothing much left to say except off you go and get to work.  Go on!  Don't dilly-dally!  We're expecting the same wonderful results as we've had all year so don't think of slacking off!
OH ... almost forgot to remind you that next week we have our last bit of housekeeping to do when we announce the winner and runner up of our Special Prize Draw ... SQUEAL!  SO EXCITING!

Challenge 45 - Lovely in Lilac...

We can hardly believe how many different reindeer images you all had tucked away in your crafty stash.  The 'Humbuggers' certainly saw a varied range during the course of last week ... everything from the funny, cute and quirky to others that were classy, decorative and elegant.

Now brace yourselves because the bad news is that we have reached our penultimate challenge for this year ....
"OH NO!" we hear you groan ...
"AFRAID SO!" is our sad reply.
It will feel strange not having any Bah! Humbug! Challenges in December, but we hope that, like us,  you'll feel as pleased as Christmas Punch when you consider the sizeable collection of beautiful cards you have crafted during the past 11 months!
WELL DONE EVERYONE!
YAY! WHOOP WHOOP!
WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL.
AND continuing the positivity, the good news is that we still have another challenge after this one ...
AND there's also the announcement of our Special Prize Draw winners to look forward to before we go into temporary hibernation.  SEE! ... it's not all doom and gloom.
This week we challenge you to concentrate on using
Shades of Lilac
We are not forbidding the use of other complementary or contrasting colours in your project, but obviously we want the main focus to be lilac tones.   However, if you're knee deep in Christmas shopping, wrapping Christmas presents, suffering with a sore throat, going to work in the freezing cold, cooking meals and trying to make things for a fund raising event all at once without even taking a breath!! ....  then you may, of course, get the wrong idea completely ... (as one of the Humbuggers did) ... and just use a touch of lilac on your card instead.
Awwww bless her heart!  Let's pretend we haven't  noticed *wink*
If you'd like to see the details of how the DT created the luvverly lilac examples below, simply click the names to visit our personal blogs and don't forget to leave some love.

It's Spot Prize Time Again...

Oh my goodness, yes it's happening again here at Bah! Humbug! we're dipping into that Santa sack and pulling out an early Christmas present for one of our loyal supporters.
Drumroll please...

Are you excited?  We are!

Our lucky Spot Prize winner this time is...

Congratulations Susan from all of us here on the team.

Just to clarify our spot prizes are awarded on a randomly selected basis from the loyal entrants to our challenges. We couldn't possibly choose a winner by picking out the best cards. Way toooo difficult as they are all so good.

Susan, can you please e-mail the team at bahbahhumbug@yahoo.co.uk with your snail mail address within 4 days to claim your prize.   No we are not letting on what the surprise is as that would spoil it.

Our latest challenge  Rudolph - Reindeer  can be found here

Challenge 44... Rudolph - Reindeer

Last week we asked you for Fancy Folds - and boy oh boy you showed us Fancy Folds by the bucketload!   As we checked out your fantastic entries, it became more and more obvious to us all how many diverse and wonderful techniques could be included in this category.  The results we saw were absolutely beautiful so thank you all so much for sharing.
The task of choosing a lucky winner for the Cuttlebug 'Line of Trees' Embossing Folder did not fall to any one individual team member fortunately - that would be FAR too difficult.  Instead, our 'Hi-Tech' Random Selector ... comprising of HAT + NAMES + HAND ... was put to use once again and we are pleased to announce that
was the lucky spud picked out this time.  Congratulations Jenny and enjoy your prize!
Please e-mail your address details to bahbahhumbug@yahoo.co.uk  and we will get your prize sent out pronto.

In this week's challenge, we are asking you to round up your
 Reindeer
No doubt the cute character we all know and love, with the shiny red nose will make an appearance or two ... NO! NOT ANN SILLY! ... RUDOLPH!
But if cute is not your thing, then feel free to include any reindeer image, stamp or paper you want to in your projects.   We'd love to see them all.
Our Guest Designer Pat joins us once again with a really quirky image on her card and the other DT examples are a fabby festive mix of cute, fun and elegant.  So there's something for everyone!  If you would like to know the details of any of our projects then simply click the names to visit our personal blogs.  We always appreciate the visits and do our best to reply to any comments as much as possible.

Challenge 43 - Fancy Folds...

Hard to believe we are heading into the final month of Bah! Humbug! Challenges for this year ... ya boo sucks!
BUT ... that means we're getting closer to choosing the winner of our Special Prize Draw.   SQUEAL!  Whoop! Whoop! WHOOP!
Seems like only yesterday we were tentatively offering up our first few challenges, hoping that we could get just a few people interested enough to play along and keep our momentum going.   We cannot thank you enough for helping us to make our 1st year so much more successful than we ever imagined. Not only by joining in the fun and spreading the word amongst your friends, but by sharing your own ideas and techniques too.  You are all amazing and we hope that you will continue to wow us with your creativity for our last few challenges.  We want you to recharge your batteries during December so that you're ready to start all over again in January 2011.
Will ya'?  HUH?? HUH!!??
So let's get on with our first challenge of this month, which brings the opportunity to win a prize and this week we are offering this beautiful Cuttlebug Embossing Folder which will be a valuable asset to any crafter's stash.
If you fancy being in with a chance of owning this scrummy-yummy folder, then all you have to do is make a Christmas Card or Project incorporating
Fancy Folds
Now whether you choose to show your fancy folding skills in the form of Iris Folding or Teabag Folding to create a focal point for a project ... or whether you want to have a go at creating something more adventurous like a gift box or bag from scratch for instance ... or even if you would simply prefer to be a touch more inventive than usual with your base card ... is entirely up to you and we look forward to seeing all your ideas.
Please give a warm welcome to our new Guest Designer for November, Pat - Pip's Pastimes who has got us off to a great start with her super Side Step Card.   To check out the details of all the DT samples, just click on the names below to take you to our personal blogs.

Top Tip Tuesday...

Wow ages since we had a Top Tip on here!  So sorry, but this is one well worth waiting for or at least it is if you find chocolates or sweeties in your house hard to resist.  As someone who had to stop opening the door to Trick or Treaters the other night due to having eaten all the sweeties this is advice I really need to follow myself.

We, Bah! Humbuggers! are just so organised that of course as well as almost having completed our Christmas cards we are also busy buying our presents before the Christmas rush and the prices shooting sky high.

Well, okay here comes the tip...

As soon as you buy that special box of chocolates present wrap it up.  As extra insurance against the wrapping paper being ripped off early (yep, been there and done that) it's also quite a good idea to make the wrapping that bit special.  It makes it easier to resist the temptation of opening if you've spent ages wrapping the parcel up in the first place.

I can't promise that this tip will work, but it might have saved my mum's birthday choccies the other week.  Sshhh!  She doesn't know!

This week's challenge of Presents can be found here.
