We're all doing a great job and next Christmas is looking like it's gonna be an absolute breeze, but last year, besides being really late making some important cards, I also hit panic stations when it came to adding the inners.
Don't know about you, but often when I'm doing cards for challenges etc., I leave the inner for a later date - not good really, because if you suddenly have 50+ inners to do it's not only hard work, but incredible boring too!
So this week's Top Tips are ...
'Card inners are best done at the same time as the card or very soon after'
and
'Digi images are fabulous for resizing and using on the inside of cards'
Here's the inner I've just done for the very first challenge we had at Bah! Humbug!
I just love the way you can resize digi images and use a smaller version on the inside of cards.
Here's another inner using a digi image made smaller for the inside of the card. I also printed this digi out ready coloured as I was feeling lazy and also I didn't want to use Promarkers on the paper of the inner as it would have bled on to the other side. This inner matches the shopping card I did for our 'glitter' challenge...
Hopefully you've enjoyed the latest Top Tip Tuesday and if you have any tips for producing fabulous inners for cards please share them by leaving a comment for us below. We'd love to hear them.
Also, don't forget our challenge this week is 'HOLLY '. There have been some totally gorgeous cards on everyone's blogs. If you haven't joined in yet please do and put a link to your work in the comments section HERE. There is still plenty of time and also a great prize up for grabs for one lucky person.

Hi Ann,
ReplyDeleteOh hun you are soooo right. All those inners, nightmare time. I agree that to do them at the same time as the card is the best way to go, had never thought of inners like these though. They are fab.

One of my resolutions for sure. That's why so many of my cards go unsent. Fabulous idea! xxD
ReplyDeleteGreat tip! I, too, am guilty of not doing the inners till later. (Guess that's why I have quilt tops but no quilts!) Love the inners you've made.

Absolute top tip - one of my jobs while Tim is away and I have more time to myself is to clear the great pile of cards (Christmas and others) that have no inners and are collecting dust as they wait.

What a fabulous idea--I haven't yet jumped on the digi-wagon, but I always struggle with my inners, and this is a great way to explore the digi world AND complete my cards at the same time!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
