Wow! ... it's May already!
Regular visitors to Humbug Hall know that the first challenge of a new month brings the chance of winning a super-dooper prize ... and we have selected another real beauty for one lucky random winner. BUT more of that later because first we'd like you to join us in extending a warm Humbug welcome to Karen - Serendipity Dragonfly and Clare - Miscanthus Crafts.
Welcome ladies xxx
Thousands of UK kids received their first introduction to 'recycling' when watching the likes of Blue Peter and The Wombles on TV. Many a toilet roll holder, washing-up liquid bottle and ... to the despair of mothers everywhere ... kitchen table, was transformed beyond recognition with the help of paint, glue and strategically placed tissue paper! AND you couldn't even begin to guess at the wonders that were achieved with wire coathangers and tinsel!
Following our Springclean at Humbug Hall, (and because many of us are having to tighten our crafty belts at the moment), we thought it would be a good idea this week to challenge everyone to do their own little bit of 'Wombling' or in other words - recycle some of the items you have begged, stolen or borrowed, with good intentions of using, then sadly left neglected and forgotten in a corner somewhere. We know you're just itching to see what the Humbuggers and our Guest Designers have created this week so take a look below. If you'd like to know more details about this week's DT projects, or just want to leave some love for Ann, Max, Karen and Clare, please click on the links above each image to visit their personal blogs.

Welcome ladies xxx
We just know you are going to love their submissions for this week's challenge as much as we do and no doubt there will be a lot more crafty goodness to look forward to over the next few weeks. So on to the challenge ... which is
Recycling or Shades of Green
You may choose one of the options or alternatively you can combine them - whatever you like. Just remember ... have fun and don't forget to leave us a direct link to your project in our comment box so we can come and admire your creativity. *********************
As promised, here is a picture of the prize we have on offer for this challenge. How much would you love to have this jolly Santa in your sticky little fingers? Yeah ... bet you would! Well you know what you have to do.
One random winner will be selected from all the entries to this week's challenge. You are free to create whatever you like ... it doesn't have to be a card ... in fact, show us as many different Christmas Projects as you want to share.
Love
Ann and Max

Here is a bit of something for this week's challenge. I am sneaking in just under the wire.
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well with you. Summer has hit in full force here in Georgia. I had to drag out the air conditioner today as it is now 90 degrees on a regular basis (at least 105 inside without the air on).
Thank you for another wonderful bit of inspiration.

Oooh me too Donna, glad I came back to check although blogger did say it was restoring all the missing posts & comments, not sure how much faith we have left in them though!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine!
Not sure if I needed to relink lades but I have. I don't expect you to leave double comments though (unless you're very bored lol!)

Oh now my original post has come back on my blog but minus the comments!! Oooh what a palava!
ReplyDeletehttp://jocelyn-april.blogspot.com/2011/05/bah-humbug-18-going-green-recycling.html
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I didn't come back and check to see that Blogger hadn't eaten my post. It was still on my site so I assumed it stayed here.
ReplyDeleteHave a look even if it is too late to do anything about it.
http://ksdcreations.blogspot.com/2011/05/bah-humbug-green-or-recycled-challenge.html
Now I'm really ticked off at Mr. Blogger.
Oopsies! My mom's comment was "eaten" as well. (Ruth at Celtic Crafters) She posted it last Wednesday, but because we went out of town Thursday we couldn't check. I know she'd love for you to see it. Thanks ladies! (And thank you for the well wishes!)
